Step 2 · The role

You will play an important role in safeguarding patient safety and protecting public interest through robust inspection and investigation activities for healthcare services regulated under the Healthcare Services Act (HCSA), such as clinical laboratories, radiological services, human tissue banking and other related health support services to ensure compliance with the prescribed regulatory requirements. You will also assist in the establishment of standards and guidelines for laboratory and health support services, scheduled services, coordination of standards enforcement and legislation administration. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time. Responsibilities You will be required to: 1. Inspect and assess healthcare services such as clinical laboratories, radiological services, human tissue banking for compliance with prescribed requirements under the relevant laws. 2. Conduct reviews into feedbacks and complaints against healthcare services. 3. Support the ongoing review of regulatory standards and process improvements. Requirements • Education in science or health related fields will be preferred (e.g. Life sciences, Biomedical Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Radiography) • At least 3 years working experience in a healthcare setting, e.g. hospitals, labs, or clinics, or in data governance • Possesses integrity and honesty to uphold rules and regulations impartially • Able to work independently and in a team • Able to think on your feet and work under pressure with minimal supervision and produce high quality work within timelines • Professionalism (e.g. remain composed in the face of unreasonable behaviour or difficult personnel) Ideal candidate should also possess the following key competencies: • Thinking Clearly & Making Sound Judgements – Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to support the crafting of sound policy recommendations; ability to grasp timelines, operating context and ground realities. • Learning & Putting Skills into Action - Possesses the drive and curiosity to learn and apply new skills, knowledge and new ways of working. • Improving & Innovating – Ability to seek continual improvements, and to innovate and experiment while managing the risks involved. • Working Effectively with Stakeholders – Ability to mobilise and rally partners and stakeholders towards a collective purpose.
