Assess candidates on who they really are.

Most hiring tools rank keywords. askTIAN scores every candidate across six dimensions of suitability — including aptitude, character and culture fit — and gives your team structured, comparable evaluations. Bring your own candidates from anywhere, or assess the ones already in your pipeline.

Six dimensions, one score

Every candidate is measured the same way, so you can compare like with like.

Profile fit

Skills, qualifications and experience measured against the role you're hiring for.

Time fit

Availability, employment type and schedule vs. what the role actually needs.

Industry & role fit

How a candidate's background and stated direction line up with the position.

Aptitude

How a candidate thinks — reasoning patterns surfaced through structured profiling, comparable across every applicant.

Character

How a candidate works — working-style and temperament indicators, triangulated with self-report.

Culture & team fit

Resonance with the people they'd actually work alongside, or with the reporting manager you nominate.

A new lens — grounded, not guesswork

Reproducible by design

Unlike a test that shifts with someone's mood on the day, askTIAN's structural profile is derived from stable inputs — the same inputs always produce the same profile. Consistent, and impossible to game.

Triangulated signal

We don't rely on one method. Measured aptitude, self-report, and the structural pattern profile are shown side by side — and where independent lenses agree, you have a signal worth trusting.

Decision support, not a verdict

Results are framed as hypotheses to explore in interview. Your team makes every hiring decision — askTIAN just makes sure the conversation is richer and the comparison is fair.

How it works

  1. 1. Tell us the role

Paste a job description or key in the role and requirements. Nominate the reporting manager or team the candidate would join — or let it default to a company-level profile.

  2. 2. Invite your candidates

Share an assessment link with candidates you've sourced from anywhere. They complete a short, consented profile — and anyone with an askTIAN profile can share it in one click.

  3. 3. See everyone, scored

Each candidate appears in your pipeline ranked by suitability, with aptitude, character and culture-fit reads. Unlock deeper profiling on the candidates that matter.

  4. 4. Assess and decide

Your team records structured, comparable evaluations and recommendations. Move candidates through your pipeline with the full picture in front of you.

Candidate assessment — common questions

What is a candidate assessment tool?
A candidate assessment tool helps employers evaluate job applicants on more than their CV — measuring aptitude, working style, and fit for a specific role and team. askTIAN scores every candidate across six suitability dimensions and lets your hiring team record structured, comparable evaluations, so decisions are based on data rather than gut feel.
How is this different from a standard aptitude or personality test?
Most pre-employment tests produce a standalone score. askTIAN triangulates three independent lenses — measured aptitude, self-reported character, and a structural pattern profile — and highlights where they converge. Convergence across independent methods is a stronger signal than any single test, and divergence is flagged as something to explore in interview, never a verdict.
Can I assess candidates I've already sourced from LinkedIn or JobStreet?
Yes — that's a core use case. You can invite candidates you've sourced anywhere to complete a short, consented assessment, then see their suitability, aptitude, character and culture-fit read alongside everyone else in your pipeline. Candidates who already have an askTIAN profile can share it in one click.
Is the assessment used to make hiring decisions automatically?
No. askTIAN is decision support, not a decision-maker. Results are presented as hypotheses and conversation starters for your interviews — you and your team make the call. Candidates consent to the assessment and receive their own profile, and you control your hiring process end to end.
How does culture fit get measured?
You can profile your existing team (or nominate the candidate's prospective reporting manager), and askTIAN scores how a candidate resonates with that group. If you don't nominate anyone, it falls back to a company-level profile. This gives you a 'who they'd actually work with' read, not a generic personality label.
What does it cost?
Setting up your company and running structured assessments is included. Deeper profiling readings for individual candidates are paid per candidate using TIAN credits, so you only pay for the depth you need on the candidates that matter. See the pricing page for current plans.
