Step 2 · The role

The incumbent to this role will engage and collaborate with divisions/departments to provide advisory on budget related matters and to ensure that there is adequate funding to meet divisions/departments’ operational needs and at the same time optimise budget utilisation. Responsibilities • Engage and collaborate with divisions/departments to provide advisory on budget related matters, such as fund requests and declaration of unutilised funds. • Coordinate and collate financial submissions to AGD and MOF, ensuring accuracy and timely submission whilst monitoring their financial performance. • Report departments’ budget utilization and highlight key risk areas. Study department’s budget plans and utilisation and conduct analysis to distil insights for more effective budget planning and management. • Support continuous innovation and improvement of the budget management and finance processes. • Identify opportunities for improvement through transforming, streamlining and digitalising processes, e.g. robotic process automation (RPA), Gen AI and etc. Requirements • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Auditing, Business Administration or Finance with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience is preferred • Experience in Government Agencies/ Public Organisations, with knowledge in Public Sector Financing and Governance is preferred • Possess critical thinking, analytical and decision-making skills • Good interpersonal skills and able to engage and communicate with key stakeholders at all levels • Good written, presentation and digital skills • Experience in data analytics and Al related skills would be advantageous • Highly motivated with positive working attitude • Able to work independently and in a team • Inquisitive and possess a high sense of urgency • Candidates with no prior working experiences are welcome to apply PWDs are welcome to apply
