Step 2 · The role
You support the management of the cyber budget portfolio and provide expert advice on finance-related matters. Responsibilities - Manage all aspects of financial and management accounting functions, including compilation of financial governance information, maintenance of a database for trend and data analytics, and preparation of reports and presentation materials for internal management reporting - Manage the cyber budget by consolidating and assessing the organisation's budget requirements - Analyse budget performance to make recommendations on budget allocation to achieve desired outcomes - Develop initiatives to convey key communications on financial issues - Provide advice on finance policies and guidelines - Perform audit checks to ensure compliance with financial rules and regulations Challenge(s) - Providing expedient and timely responses to urgent funding supportability requirements while meeting budget reporting timelines - Developing a deep understanding of financial policies and processes to provide valuable and accurate financial advice Requirements - Education in Finance, Accountancy, Business Administration or a related field is preferred - At least 10 years of relevant experience in finance, budget or accounting in the corporate and/or public sector is preferred - Proficiency in technology and artificial intelligence tools to enhance work efficiency and streamline processes - Meticulous and thorough in completing tasks, ensuring accuracy and high-quality outcomes - Strong sense of accountability with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and organisational needs - Proficiency in Microsoft products including PowerBuilder, PowerPoint, Teams, Power BI, and Excel - Collaborative team player who readily provides support and assistance to colleagues when needed - Strong conceptual, written, and verbal communication skills in English - Creative and analytical - Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills - Ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment - Good interpersonal skills to engage colleagues in the development and execution of finance matters Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.
