The candidate will be part of VITAL’s Credit Management Services (CMS) Team as a Senior Section Manager/Section Manager. Responsibilities • Lead CMS team on the recovery of debt cases for Whole-of-Government and look into new process initiatives. • Support the Supervisor in reviewing operational policies and establishing work processes relevant to Debt recovery. • Responsible for overseeing officers handling debt recovery cases and ensure timely resolutions to issues raised by Agencies. • Oversees project progressions; be able to identify risks, resolve problems and forge collaborations with respective stakeholders. • Preparing reports on recovery case status and following-up on irrecoverable debts with legal and Agencies concerned. • Implement internal controls and follow up on any audit recommendations. • Plan and manage manpower resources. • Assess officers’ career needs and provide developmental opportunities. • Develop leadership through coaching and mentoring. • Promote quality customer service in all areas of credit management administration. • Assist to identify opportunities to develop new services within or outside the organisation. Requirements • Candidate with relevant work experience finance, accounting or debt recovery will be an advantage. • An Independent individual and also an effective team-player with optimistic disposition, takes initiatives and is resourceful in challenging situations. • Experienced in managing multiple projects/ tasks simultaneously. • Possess strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills. • Able to exercise sound judgement. • Meticulous, takes initiative and has a positive aptitude. • IT savvy with excellent grasp of Microsoft Office and strong appreciation for current and upcoming technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), data analytics, artificial intelligence and other tools (e.g., Access, Macros, Power Query, VBA, Tableu, PowerBI) will be advantageous.
