Deputy Director, Partners Division (Finance) Responsibilities • Lead and manage a team within the Partners Division, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure optimal performance and achievement of financial and budgetary objectives. • Develop and implement sound financial and budgetary control policies to promote financial prudence, and to ensure compliance with the government’s financial policies and procedures. • Manage the preparation, analysis, and compliance of financial reports, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring adherence to policies and regulatory requirements. • Participate/Lead initiatives for system testing, enhancements or integration, strengthening of internal controls and process improvements. • Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance appraisals related to team’s responsibilities. • Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of budgetary objectives, including in household operations and process controls. • Lead or co-lead in projects that support the Whole-of-Government digital transformation roadmap for finance. Requirements • Proven leadership experience in financial management or budgeting roles, including experience leading or supervising a team • Strong knowledge of financial principles, budgeting processes, and financial analysis techniques • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders • Advanced proficiency in financial software, spreadsheet applications, and data management systems • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and expertise in data analytics and visualisation • Experience in governance and risk management within a financial context • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple financial priorities • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development in financial management practices • Experience in business transformation initiatives and their impact on financial planning and management. • Candidates who require work pass sponsorship need not apply.
