Step 2 · The role

You will be responsible for the manning and staffing of regular servicemen and National Servicemen (NSmen) in Naval Logistics Command (NELCOM) to ensure the highest state of manpower readiness. You will also conduct ad-hoc manpower operations and manage core functions to provide end-to-end National Service (NS) Human Resource (HR) and administrative support to NELCOM Squadrons and Units. Responsibilities - Consolidate and report on manpower readiness, staffing situations and issues pertaining to regular servicemen and NSmen - Manage Defence Executive Officer (DXO) recruitment in liaison with MINDEF HR Directorate (MHRD) and Naval Personnel Department (NPD) - Plan and execute manpower operations including mobilisation exercises, technical recalls, contact tracing exercises, annual influenza vaccination and mass urine screening exercises - Manage the full spectrum of NSmen-related matters including In-Camp Training (ICT) administration, NSmen Awards, promotion recommendations and ad-hoc queries escalated through the NSmen customer relationship management system - Manage succession planning for NSmen to ensure healthy manning and staffing levels across NSmen establishments - Support contingency and national operations as part of NELCOM's business continuity plan Challenge(s) - Navigating a broad range of NS HR processes and stakeholder requirements, requiring strong independent judgement and critical thinking to resolve escalated issues Requirements - Education in Business Administration, Human Resource Management or a related field - At least 3 years of relevant experience in manpower or HR-related appointments is preferred - Familiarity with relevant HR standards and processes is advantageous - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills - Good interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to work independently - Meticulous approach to work Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.
