Step 2 · The role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Finance Transformation team. The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) seeks to transform Singapore into a leading global city of talent, enterprise and innovation. Responsibilities You will be part of the dynamic team responsible for financial and accounting functions in MTI. The scope of work will include, but not limited to the following: • Drive Finance Division’s transformation efforts, which include the streamlining and refining/digitalising of finance processes, as well as automation; • Leverage on digital tools and data to enhance business processes and provide insights for policy-making, and • Work closely with stakeholders to create value from quantitative datasets and analyse emerging trends. Requirements • Relevant course of study in a quantitative discipline, e.g. accountancy, engineering, mathematics, economics, finance, and/or data analytics with 2 to 5 years of relevant working experience; • Prior experience working in a finance/transformation/analytics-related function within the Singapore Public Service with working knowledge of related policies (e.g. Government Instruction Manuals), experience in the use of Government central financial platforms (e.g. NFS@Gov, HRPS, IBudget 2 and Fi@Gov) and/or automation/data visualisation tools (e.g. UIPath, Tableau) would be advantageous; • Strong analytical skills; meticulous with ability to deep-dive into processes and data; • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with different internal business units and stakeholders; • Committed, responsible and self-driven with passion for continuous learning and improvement; • Ability to work independently and effectively as a team; • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
