Manager (Portfolio Management)

You support the management of Research and Development (R&D) and Experimentation portfolios, with a focus on budget provisioning, analysis, and reporting for the Future Systems and Technology Directorate (FSTD). This role plays a key part in enabling informed strategic decision-making across Future Systems and Technology Directorate (FSTD) management groups, Defence Technology Community (DTC) Collab, and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF). Responsibilities - Support the management of R&D and Experimentation portfolios across FSTD management groups, Defence Technology Community (DTC) Collab, and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) - Prepare and present management reports - Translate project data into actionable insights for enabling strategic decision-making - Coordinate with diverse stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication across portfolio activities - Ensure compliance with financial and procurement processes, guidelines, and policies Challenge(s) - Managing the accuracy and integrity of a complex R&D and Experimentation project database while translating large volumes of information into clear, actionable insights for management - Maintaining up-to-date familiarity with the full range of financial and procurement policies to ensure portfolios remain consistently well-aligned Requirements - Education in any field - At least 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in budget planning and management - Strong numerical and analytical abilities - Good interpersonal, organisational, and time-management skills - Ability to collaborate effectively within a team - Positive work attitude (Applicants with no experience may apply.)
