Step 2 · The role
You lead a team to manage and oversee the development of Psychological Defence capabilities and provide comprehensive psychology support along a peace to war continuum. Responsibilities - Plan and employ qualitative and quantitative methods for evidence-based diagnostics - Provide professional advice and expertise to enhance individual, team, and unit psychological readiness - Improve organisational effectiveness through psychological interventions - Lead on best practices in job/appointment assessment - Build expertise in psychological interviewing and individual profiling - Plan, design, and implement pre, post, and during operations assessment systems - Provide immediate crisis management for critical incidents Challenge(s) - Adapting psychological practices to the unique military environment - Balancing individual psychological needs with organisational requirements Requirements - Education in Psychology - At least 6 years of relevant experience - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Strong interpersonal skills - Ability to liaise, consult, and negotiate with commanders - Skill in establishing partnerships and collaborations with internal and external agencies - Independent thought and innovation - Maturity in decision-making and advice-giving You may be required to periodically travel overseas for work.
