Senior Associate / Associate (Media)

The officer will be responsible for developing and carrying out strategic communications and engagement functions to ensure effective and timely communications of MOF's policies and initiatives to both external and internal stakeholders and thereby increase awareness and understanding of MOF’s policies and facilitate the achievement of MOF’s objectives and mission. Responsibilities • Develop strategic communications plans across communications and engagement platforms. • Execute strategic communications efforts, including media publicity planning, media management, issues management and social media, to create awareness, understanding and appreciation of MOF policies and initiatives. • Enhance relations with the media and key influencers of public opinion. • Be part of the team to work on media publicity and engagement efforts for Singapore Budget. • Work with internal and external stakeholders on the execution of plans. Requirements • Experience in developing and implementing strategic communications plans • A keen interest in and strong awareness of current affairs and national issues • Self-motivated and meticulous, with ability to both work independently and with a team, in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and with tight deadlines • Team player with strong communication, interpersonal, organisational and project management skills • Good command of the English language with strong written and verbal communications skills
