Responsibilities The successful candidate is required to: • Review economic regulation frameworks to ensure that appropriate economic incentives are in place for natural monopolies to operate efficiently and invest prudently in energy infrastructure. • Assess the regulated fees and tariffs charged by monopolies to ensure adequate recovery of prudent investments. • Review the regulated gas tariffs. • Review the licensing framework to embrace new business models and new energy technologies, and assess licence applications to allow new entrants to the gas sector. • Handle consumer enquiries and feedback. Requirements Requirements: • Education in economics, accountancy, finance, business or a related field. • Relevant experience in economic analysis and policy work. Experience in economic regulation of natural monopolies or large-scale infrastructure development is an advantage. • Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication (both written and verbal) skills. • Resourceful, able to work independently and in a team. • Able to work under tight timelines and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholders. • Positive team player with a strong interest to shape the future of Singapore's energy industry.
