Step 2 · The role
Be part of a future-ready Traffic Operations Command Centre (OCC), where your tech-savvy mindset, data-driven and system integration thinking would help reshape how we manage real-time traffic incidents. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), AI tools & digital integration, and who can thrive in fast-paced operational environments with composure. The candidate will play a frontline role in managing real-time traffic operations, while also collaborating across teams to elevate operational efficiency and responses through smart systems and analytics. Responsibilities • Monitor real-time traffic incidents via the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) platforms & sensors • Detect, flag & escalate traffic incidents accurately & promptly • Identify traffic anomalies or trends via Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Video Analytics (VA) & other monitoring tools • Monitor critical systems that enable OCC operations • Liaise & coordinate response efforts with relevant internal stakeholders and government agencies • Implement & support contingency plans during incidents • Collaborate with data & system teams to improve dashboard visualizations and automate logic workflows • Enhance incident strategies using data insights and decision-support tools, such as refining trigger points for OCC alerts and escalation protocols • Participate in periodic contingency exercises and conduct ‘After Action Reviews’ (AARs) to enhance operational readiness As part of the shortlisting process for the role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and / or undergo further assessment. Requirements • Minimum Diploma in any discipline, preferably in fields related to IT, systems, engineering, or operations • Willingness to perform shift work, including weekends & public holidays • Technologically inclined team-player, with strong situational awareness & ability to communicate effectively • Ability to manage real-time scenarios & make sound decisions under pressure • Possess strong system thinking & analytical mindset, with a natural curiosity to improve workflows & outcomes • Prior experience in a Command Centre or similar real-time operational / smart-system environment is advantageous
