Digital Forensic R&D Engineer

Responsibilities As a member of the Digital Forensic R&D team, you will be responsible for working closely with internal stakeholders to: • Research, source and devise digital forensic acquisition methodologies and tools for various platforms including iOS, Android, Windows, MacOS as well as IoT Operating Systems • Understand operating systems, file structures and security design in the context of devices access and data forensic extraction from the respective operating systems and devices under investigation • Be well-verse with the various states of device to devise and advise users which forensic extraction method is the most- appropriate to perform • Conduct forensic research on artefacts and Apps folder structure/content • Liaise with various experienced forensic teams on the ground to provide advice, guidance and direction in relation to digital forensic extraction and decoding • Collaborate with App development team to plan, test and rollout of App decoders and analysis tools that enable users to perform their investigation work Requirements • Self-driven, natural curiosity, autodidactic • Ability to work independently as well in a team setting • Relevant knowledge, experience or certifications in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous: o Knowledge of digital forensic tools available in the market o Digital forensic certifications (past or present) o Working experience in Flash memory, file systems and internal database structure o Experience with Android Studio/Java and/or XCode o Knowledge of scripting language such as Python • Only Singaporeans need apply We wish to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
