Step 2 · The role
The Legal (Civil) Department provides legal advice and support to NEA on civil law matters. Responsibilities The officer will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to assigned business partners, including: • Vetting contracts and advising on legal issues. • Reviewing amendments to legislation and work with the business partners to effect the amendments. • Carrying out contract, legislative and public law advisory work. Requirements The job might be for you if you possess the following qualities: • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore. • At least 3 years’ experience in civil law advisory work, including drafting and review of contracts and legislation; and carrying out contract, legislative and public law advisory work. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Good analytical and writing skills. • Able to work in a team and independently. • Able to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines. • Able to adapt to changes and has a positive work attitude. • Highly motivated, meticulous, committed and takes initiative. As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
