Step 2 · The role

As a Senior/ Public Health Officer, you will be protecting the health of Singaporeans by reducing the burden of communicable diseases through the development and implementation of evidence-based policy formulation, implementing and overseeing effective disease prevention and control programmes, including epidemiological surveillance programmes and timely outbreak response and management. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time. Responsibilities Key Job Responsibilities: • Formulation, implementation, monitoring and review of the prevention and control strategies for contact and environmental diseases • Develop and implement surveillance programmes • Epidemiological investigation and outbreak management • Provide technical subject matter expertise • Programme management and administration Requirements Job Requirements: • Preferably with Pharmacy, Life Science, Medical, Nursing, Public Health or Epidemiology background • 2-3 years work experience in public health would be advantageous • Strong analytical skillsets • Ability to work under pressure and simultaneously on different projects • Excellent organisational skills and resourcefulness • Good inter-personal and communication skills • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate across disciplines • Willing to work beyond office hours, especially during outbreaks • Continuously keep up-to-date on new developments in the communicable diseases field As part of the shortlisting process for this role, candidates may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
