The Professional Services Group (PSG) harnesses the expertise of the social work and psychology professions in MSF to enhance policy development and service delivery. This includes ensuring consistent practice standards, enabling evidence-informed interventions, and driving capability development to meet evolving sector needs. The PSG is organised along three Divisions: 1. Psychological and Social Services (PSS) Division 2. Standards and Practice Innovation (SPI) Division 3. Capability Development (CAPD) Division The current position advertised is for a Manager/ Senior Manager role in the SPI Division, within the Programme, Standards and Quality Assurance (PSQ) branch. Responsibilities This role sits at the intersection of policy and frontline practice, with the primary purpose of raising professional standards across the social service sector. Working within the Practice Standards Unit, you will support the formulation and advancement of evidence-based practice standards aligned with international best practices, spanning specialised areas such as disability and special needs as well as broader integrated family service initiatives. The role also requires active participation in cross-sector collaboration and stakeholder engagement, bringing different parts of the social service system together to ensure that standards remain responsive to evolving needs in the landscape. We are seeking candidates with a good Honours degree preferably in Social Work, Psychology or related disciplines. Candidates with at least 3 years of relevant experience in social services, disability, and/or special needs sector will be preferred. Key Responsibilities • Develop, review, and update practice standards, guidelines, and SOPs relevant to the disability and special needs sector • Synthesise and sense-make information from discussions, consultations, and research to support decision-making and programme development • Engage and coordinate with stakeholders, including practitioners, service providers, and community partners, to gather inputs and build consensus • Provide secretariat support for key committees and workgroups. This includes managing agendas, taking minutes, and tracking action items to keep projects moving forward Requirements Technical Skills & Experiences: • Experience in writing or developing standards, guidelines, or SOPs • Experience in secretariat work, including minute-writing, documentation of findings, and tracking of follow-up actions • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to use AI tool to enhance work productivity Professional Attributes: • Strong writing skills, with ability to produce clear and well-structured reports, minutes, and documentation • Ability to synthesise and distil complex information into accessible summaries and recommendations • Organised and able to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines independently • Good stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage across diverse groups • Collaborative, open to feedback, and able to work effectively in a team Preferred: • Prior experience working in the disability or special needs field • Familiarity with practice standards or regulatory frameworks in the social service sector • Knowledge of disability policy or service landscape in Singapore
