Description of Division: As part of the RPG Protective Service (PSV), the Partner & Capability Development (PCD) division drives partner management and capability building to deliver effective protection services for individuals and families experiencing violence, abuse, or neglect. We strengthen coordination of common services and enable holistic management of services run by social service agencies and vendors. The division advances evidence-based and trauma-informed practices to better support both PSV staff and the social service sector. Responsibilities Brief description of Job Scope: The Standards and Implementation team oversees standards and capability development for the OHC & AAA sector through the development and implementation of practice guides, quality assurance frameworks, operational standards and capability-building initiatives. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the team supports the translation of policy and practice developments into consistent service delivery across the protective services sector. The team also drives implementation planning, quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts to strengthen outcomes for children and families receiving OHC. In this role, you will support the development, implementation and review of practice guides and sector standards for professionals working within the OHC & AAA sector. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, Social Service Agencies (SSAs) and other sector partners to facilitate implementation, strengthen practice consistency and support quality assurance efforts across the sector. You will have the opportunity to work with diverse stakeholders across the protection sector, building and maintaining strong partnerships. This position offers the chance to contribute to meaningful development in protection work. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement and management skills and a good understanding of the protective services landscape. Responsibilities: As a Manager, you will: • Support the development, review and implementation of practice guides, standards and resources for casework and care professionals in the OHC and AAA sectors. • Develop and coordinate implementation plans to support the adoption of new practice guidance, standards and sector initiatives. • Manage projects and workstreams to ensure timely delivery of key milestones and outcomes. • Engage internal stakeholders and SSAs to gather feedback, foster shared understanding and support implementation efforts. • Support the design and implementation of quality assurance frameworks, processes and tools to strengthen service quality and practice consistency. • Analyse implementation data, quality assurance findings and stakeholder feedback to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement. • Coordinate workgroups, consultations and engagement platforms to support sector standards and capability development initiatives. • Develop, review and refine operational processes, implementation resources and communications materials to support change management and adoption. • Provide secretariat and project coordination support for strategic initiatives and governance platforms. • Undertake any other duties assigned by the Division. Requirements Requirements: • At least 2 years of relevant experience in social services, policy, programme implementation, service development or sector development. • Experience in child protection, out-of-home care, residential care, foster care or adoption-related services would be an advantage. • Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills, including the ability to conduct literature reviews and synthesise findings into actionable recommendations. • Strong project management, stakeholder engagement and communication skills. • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. • Comfortable working with data to support implementation, quality assurance and service improvement. • Digitally savvy, with the ability to leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance research, analysis and productivity will be an advantage • Self-driven, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. • Able to work independently as well as within teams.
