Step 2 · The role
You are responsible for leading and advancing the organisation's geospatial products and analysis methods by overseeing geospatial data, systems, projects, and analytical functions that support operational planning, decision-making and capability development. Responsibilities - Govern Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) initiatives - Conduct advanced spatial analysis and deliver actionable insights through maps, dashboards, reports and other geospatial products - Work closely with stakeholders to translate operational requirements into geospatial solutions - Drive the adoption of emerging geospatial technologies and best practices for the organisation - Ensure that geospatial information is effectively leveraged to enhance the organisation's performance and operational outcomes Challenge(s) - Leading and developing a team of GEOINT analysts to deliver timely and accurate geospatial products in support of operational requirements - Fostering strong collaboration across diverse stakeholders, integrating data from multiple sources, and ensuring the highest standards of data governance, security and quality Requirements - Education in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geomatics, Geospatial Science, Remote Sensing or a related field such as Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or Data Analytics and Visualisation is preferred - At least 1 year of relevant experience in geospatial analysis, GIS application development, spatial data management, or a related field is preferred - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Keen interest in harnessing geospatial technologies to support operational outcomes and a willingness to continuously learn and explore emerging geospatial capabilities - Positive disposition, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a team, build strong stakeholder relationships and contribute positively to a dynamic, high-performing, and mission-focused work environment (Applicants with no experience may apply.)
