Step 2 · The role
The School Digital Lead is a digital leader who leads the execution of school-wide digital initiatives, strengthens staff digital confidence, and uplifts digital practices across operations. The role partners closely with the HOD ICT, who focuses on EdTech adoption for teaching and learning, ensuring that operational enablement and classroom digital use progress hand-in-hand. The role is primarily school-facing, with opportunities to contribute to schools and HQ efforts where school-ground insights and expertise are valuable. Responsibilities • Enhance Productivity Through Digital Tools – Drive effective use of MOE digital products to streamline operations, reduce manual work, and improve staff experience through platform adoption, hands-on support, and system integration. • Uplift Digital Confidence Across the School – Build staff skills and confidence with digital tools through targeted training, clinics, mentoring, and clear guidance materials whilst fostering a school-wide digital culture. • Strengthen Digital Change Management – Support smooth system rollouts by identifying inefficient processes, applying user-centred design, and aligning digital improvements with strategic priorities through evidence-based planning. • Sustain a Secure & Trusted Digital Environment – Maintain cybersecurity readiness, digital governance, and data protection compliance whilst ensuring secure processes and effective vendor management. • Connect Ground Insights with Schools / MOE HQ – Bridge school needs with MOE's digital direction by contributing to workstreams, piloting initiatives, providing feedback, and sharing best practices across the network of schools. Requirements • Ability to understand ICT systems and translate needs into practical digital improvements • Clear and confident communicator who can work closely with school leaders, teachers, and vendors • Familiarity with digital governance, cybersecurity essentials, and risk-aware decision-making • Strong coaching mindset with the ability to guide and develop ICT personnel • Proven experience in helping teams adopt digital tools such as Microsoft Teams and Google Workspace and improve workflow productivity • Steady, empathetic change leader who can support staff through transitions while keeping outcomes clear • The job requires travelling regularly between schools and HQ sites • Preferably with at least 10 years of relevant experience in an Information Technology-related environment As part of the processing of your application, you may be required to undergo a medical examination that will be fully paid by MOE.
