Step 2 · The role
[LTA-PT] DEPUTY/ASSISTANT MANAGER, BUS SERVICE STANDARDS Responsibilities You will be part of a team that is responsible for developing and administering frameworks, as well as monitor, analyse and report key performance indicators for bus service performance standards. Your main responsibilities include: • Ensuring bus operators meet service quality standards. This includes reviewing requests for exceptions and working within the regulatory framework to uphold service standards. • Managing two key performance frameworks that measure reliability of bus services: • Deciding the assessment parameters for bus services. • Reviewing waiver submissions from bus operators and applying approved exclusions into the bus fleet management system. • Calculating the incentives and adjustments for each operator at the end of the year based on their performance. • Keeping the bus management system up to date with the latest settings and making sure the data and reports it generates are accurate. • Developing new frameworks and standards for future bus services, such as autonomous buses. • Preparing regular reports and analysis on bus service performance for senior management. • Working closely with bus operators to help them continuously improve their service reliability. • Responding to feedback from the public on issues related to bus service quality and performance. • Any other tasks as assigned by the Reporting Officer. Requirements • Knowledge in Statistics / Business Analytics / Operations Research/ Any discipline with strong quantitative or analytical components. • Self-motivated and resourceful, with a meticulous and structured approach to work. • Able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Possess strong communication skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders. • Strong analytical skills with experience handling large datasets. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel. • Experience with data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Python) is an advantage. • Willingness to conduct fieldwork and support operational activities and events as required. As part of the shortlisting process for the role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and / or undergo further assessment.
