You are responsible for ensuring that digital products developed by the unit are intuitive, user-centric, accessible and aligned with operational outcomes. You will drive the entire design lifecycle — from user research and problem discovery to wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, design system governance, and post-launch optimisation. Responsibilities - Conduct user interviews, workshops, observations and contextual inquiries to analyse operational workflows and identify user pain points - Design end-to-end workflows and user interactions for web and mobile solutions, producing wireframes, user flows, mock-ups, prototypes and interaction models - Establish and maintain the unit's design standards, UI component libraries and reusable design patterns for Power Platform and Microsoft 365 (M365) solutions - Build rapid prototypes to validate concepts before development, and facilitate usability testing and user acceptance evaluation sessions - Partner with the Product Manager, Business Analyst and Developers to align design outcomes with business objectives and ensure faithful implementation of approved designs - Recommend enhancements to improve user engagement and productivity, and contribute to onboarding materials and product launch activities Challenge(s) - Navigating design requirements from users and understanding the military context to deliver operationally relevant digital experiences Requirements - Education in UX Design, Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Communication, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred - At least 3 years of relevant experience in digital product delivery, government digital services, enterprise applications or operational technology environments is preferred - Experience designing low-code or Microsoft 365 solutions is advantageous - Good communication and stakeholder management skills (Applicants with no experience may apply.)
