Step 2 · The role
You are responsible for administering, leading and guiding the Information Plans Section to support the Head of Information Plans Branch (IPB) in the strategising and planning of strategic communications (SC) within the Digital and Intelligence Service (DIS). You are also responsible for sense-making and analysing the impact and effectiveness of DIS SC strategies. Responsibilities - Conceptualise DIS's SC plans and messaging to support the overall communications strategy - Develop and review DIS's SC concept of operations across various operations - Oversee sense-making and analysis of DIS SC strategies and plans effectiveness, working closely with relevant stakeholders to analyse their perceptions - Develop DIS's SC capabilities to strengthen communications efforts and SC analysis functions - Collaborate in planning DIS SC training and education roadmap in alignment with SC objectives - Perform incident and crisis management in the event of a DIS SC crisis or incident, and provide support to MINDEF/SAF/DIS HQ Challenge(s) - Appreciating key MINDEF/SAF/DIS HQ issues which are wide-ranging and interconnected Coordinating with relevant agencies within and outside of DIS to achieve the desired SC outcomes - Keeping abreast of the evolving information and geopolitical landscape - Staying aware of emerging opportunities and threats that might fundamentally alter the way we operate, and proposing strategies to remain effective in a dynamic environment Requirements - Education in Marketing, Communications, Psychology, International Relations, Social Sciences or a related discipline is preferred - At least 8 years of relevant experience in strategic communications, corporate communications or policy work - Strong conceptual, planning and analytical skills, with strong writing and communication skills - Good leadership and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask and work effectively in a dynamic environment Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
