Research and AnalysisData Analysis & Data Mgtfull-timedirector

You will lead research and analysis on geo-strategic and security-related developments in the region and globally, providing timely and accurate assessments to support decision-making. Responsibilities - Monitor and sense-make geo-strategic, defence, and security-related developments in the region and globally within the existing geo-political context - Produce timely and accurate written assessments on defence and security-related developments - Lead researchers in collaborating with SAF partners - Supervise, guide, and develop team members to build research and analytical capabilities within the branch - Manage and engage internal and external stakeholders to support the branch's research and analytical work Challenge(s) - Sense-making complex and fast-evolving geo-strategic and security developments, and translating them into accurate and actionable assessments within tight timelines - Developing the team while managing competing priorities across multiple work-streams Requirements - Education in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, Public Policy, or a related field is preferred - At least 6 years of relevant experience in research and analysis, with a focus on defence and security, geo-politics, or related policy areas is preferred - Strong analytical and research skills - Good leadership skills, with experience in supervising and developing a team - Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the maturity to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to sense-make complex developments and produce clear, well-structured written assessments Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
