The Ministry of Law ensures a sound and progressive legal infrastructure, intellectual property infrastructure and insolvency regime, and optimizes land resources, to support national goals. You will be part of the Individual Insolvency and Debt Repayment Scheme Division of the Insolvency & Public Trustee's Office (IPTO). You will be responsible for all areas of case administration under the Debt Repayment Scheme and be involved in engaging debtors, creditors, internal stakeholders, other government agencies and law firms. Responsibilities • Assess debtor's application to be placed under the Debt Repayment Scheme • Examine documents submitted by the debtor and verify extent of debtor's assets and liabilities • Schedule and conduct meeting of creditors to determine debtor’s repayment plan • Monitor debtor’s repayment plan • Liaise with debtors and creditors on general enquiries • Process payments to creditors • Review cases for cessation of the debt repayment plans (completion, failure or inapplicable for DRS) Requirements *Key Competencies Required* • [Balancing Service with Authority]: Collaborate with other agencies to strike a balance between balancing whole-of-government enforcement outcomes and empathy when working on cross-cutting enforcement issues. • [Knowing and Applying Public Service-Level Acts and Regulations]: Be familiar with Public Service-level Acts and Regulations (e.g. Insolvency, Restructuring and Dissolution Act, Companies Act, Penal Code) that are relevant to the work, and be confident in carrying out the enforcement role in both digital and physical spaces. • [Investigating and Gathering Evidence]: Ensure all evidence related to the case are appropriately obtained, documented, processed, and stored in accordance with agency policy and procedures to support case resolution. • [Processing cases]: Ensure that each step in the case management process is carried out with professionalism and integrity. • [Possessing Interviewing Skills]: Possess and apply appropriate interviewing techniques to obtain important information about the incident. • [Planning and Managing Operations]: Plan and/or execute daily operations according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to optimise enforcement functions. *Personal Traits/Work Experience* • Academic training preferably in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Law • Work experience of 1 to 2 years, preferably with some experience in customer service • Meticulous and ability to multi-task, good interpersonal skills • Good written and verbal communications skills • Able to work independently with minimal supervision • Energetic team-player • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications The successful candidate will be offered an 11-month non-renewable contract.
