You lead a team that develops the mid to long-term direction and strategy for National Education (NE) and Total Defence (TD). Responsibilities - Formulate and review National Education frameworks and initiatives to strengthen societal resilience - Explore innovative engagement approaches for National Education and Total Defence - Work with partners across government and the community to enhance whole-of-society commitment to defence - Support Nexus' international engagements to exchange perspectives and establish partnerships - Lead the team to develop and execute strategic plans and capability development efforts to ensure Nexus is well-positioned to achieve its strategic outcomes Challenge(s) - Keeping up-to-date with current affairs and understanding how issues related to National Education and Total Defence impact Nexus' work - Balancing Nexus' interests with that of partners while developing effective strategies that can help achieve strategic outcomes Requirements - Education in Communication Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field - At least 6 years of relevant experience in policy-making or public communications, including at least 2 years in leading a team to deliver organisational strategic outcomes - Experience in strategic planning and capability development is advantageous - Strong interest in and understanding of national issues and current affairs - Strong command of clear written and spoken English - Good networking skills, critical thinking abilities, and adaptability Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
