The jobholder will be leading a team to plan, develop, and execute media communications strategies to raise awareness of Singapore’s manpower policies, and strengthen public trust in MOM. Responsibilities • Lead a team to plan, develop and execute strategic communications plans for MOM’s initiatives and policies, and guide them to: Plan and execute media operations to achieve MOM’s desired communication outcomes, including developing media plans, organising media briefings and interviews, preparing media materials and managing day-to-day media requests such as replies to media queries and forum letters • Monitor and analyse media coverage and outcomes to ensure effectiveness of media plans • Prepare and execute strategic communication plans for policy announcements/issues under MOM’s purview, including the desired messaging and framing, and red-teaming possible derailers to communications • Cultivate strong relationships with media contacts; identify opportunities to proactively pitch stores and ensure good coverage of MOM’s announcements and policies • Staff and provide strategic communications counsel to Political Office Holders and senior management for events and manage media onsite at media events • Develop marketing and digital communication strategies on MOM’s policies, where required. Requirements • Tertiary qualification in any discipline • Able to work independently and lead a team to work cross functionally • Good written and communications skills • Well versed in media communications, media relations and/or marketing and digital communications • Initiative to experiment with new ways to deepen trust with stakeholders • Good project management skills with ability to multi-task and deliver good outcomes under pressure and fast-changing conditions.
