Step 2 · The role

International RelationsEmergency Preparedness & Responsefull-timemanager

You will be part of a 24/7 team that monitors relevant developments that occur both internally and externally. You will also be the first line of response for any incident or crisis that occurs within the organisation. Responsibilities • Monitor and report significant geopolitical and security-related developments that have impact to the organisation. • Alert relevant stakeholders to incidents or crisis early and ensure that response plans are activated in a timely manner • Coordinate efforts to validate effectiveness of crisis response to ensure that stakeholders are adequately prepared (e.g. running regular organisational level crisis response exercises) If you are in a senior role, in addition to the above, you will need to: • Provide operational leadership for the team • Design and implement workplace processes, with future trends and needs in mind • Contribute to the planning and guidance for the Section's professional growth, in both general and technical areas • Build good relations and workflows with internal and external stakeholders • Mentor and develop junior team members to maximise their potential What you will gain: • Experience in incident and crisis management • Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment • A deeper understanding of global current affairs and their impact on SID's missions Requirements • Roles for fresh graduates and mid-careers available • Willingness to perform shift duties • Keen interest in geopolitical and security-related developments • Flexible and able to respond quickly in dynamic situations • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence • Motivated team player, as well as an independent self-starter
