Step 2 · The role
You will be part of the dynamic team responsible for building resilient network infrastructure using cutting-edge technologies such as cloud-based and software-defined networking e.g. SD-WAN, ACI and NSX. You must have a good understanding of IT infrastructure systems, and knowledge in the latest networking technologies and platforms. We need you to be a team player, keen to take on new challenges and keep abreast with rapidly evolving technology landscape. Responsibilities • Implement, operate and optimise modernised and virtualised network infrastructure to ensure scalable, sustainable and secure operations • Implement architectural standards, reference models and guidelines that enhance security, resiliency and scalability • Evaluate and implement network technologies that meet users’ needs and aligned with the industry development • Provide network consultation to project teams for system deployment, working with various stakeholders to resolve technical problems and optimise network performance Requirements • Background in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or related fields • 2-5 years of relevant working experience in network design, implementation and/or operations • Manage and support network environment with strong network knowledge in TCP/IP, switching, routing, DHCP, DNS, virtual private networks (VPN) • Implement and manage campus and data centre switches, routers, load balancers, firewalls and use of network management tools to monitor service metrics • Knowledge in cloud platforms, automation at scale using scripting languages (e.g. Ansible, Python, PowerShell), storage networking and software defined networking will be an added advantage • Good understanding of prevailing networking technologies and related technology markets • Good communication skills, system thinking and systematic problem-solving skills • Able to work with the team or independently with minimum supervision • Self-motivated and eager to learn • Candidates with no prior experience may be considered as training will be provided Nice-to-haves Certifications in networking domain such as CCNA/CCNP, VCP (Network Virtualisation) Experience in Git, Terraform, Kubernetes As CSIT is an agency under the Ministry of Defence (Singapore), only Singapore Citizens will be considered.
