[PUB-TED] Specialist/Sr Specialist (9-months)

The incumbent will provide coverage for the Lead Specialist in SWR 2 during her maternity/shared parental leave, supporting applied research, technology translation and deployment in emerging and cross-cutting technology domains. Responsibilities Main Responsibilities: • Support the SWR 2 team in keeping abreast of global technological trends and developing technical expertise in decarbonisation and carbon management. • Assist in the initiation and technical evaluation of R&D projects and proposals. • Support the management of ongoing R&D projects to ensure they meet objectives, deliverables and timelines. • Assist in the development and deployment of technologies in decarbonisation, carbon capture, and resource recovery. • Support the structuring of initiatives that strengthen the research-to-deployment pathway. • Assist in quantifying R&D outcomes through ROI, CBA and sustainability impact metrics. • Support the management of key partnerships with international organisations and external stakeholders. • Assist in the development of technology roadmaps and strategic planning for funding initiatives Requirements • Degree in Engineering - At least 2 years' relevant experience, practical knowledge and/or expertise in decarbonisation / carbon removal / carbon capture, storage & utilisation • Good writing and communication skills • Self-motivated with a passion for building technical expertise • Strong analytical and systematic thinking - Works well independently and is a resourceful team player
