Step 2 · The role
The intern will support the preparation and delivery of the 16th Leaders in Urban Governance Programme (LUGP), a milestone programme for senior public officers in Singapore’s Infrastructure & Environment sector. The role involves supporting with programme operations, coordinating learning journeys, and preparing programme and participant materials. The intern will work with the CLC Milestone Programme team and gain exposure to the planning and delivery of an executive development programme involving senior public officers and external stakeholders. Responsibilities The responsibilities include: • Supporting research and preparation of background materials on urban governance, liveability and sustainable urban development; • Supporting the planning and coordination of local learning journeys and overseas study visits; • Conducting research on potential speakers, organisations and site visits relevant to the programme’s learning objectives; • Preparing and updating programme materials, itineraries, briefing notes and participant communications; • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on programme and logistical arrangements; • Supporting programme operations, including participant management, documentation and on-site coordination; and • Consolidating participant feedback, learning points and other post-programme materials. Requirements • Good written and verbal communication skills; • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail; • Able to conduct research and synthesise information clearly and succinctly; • Comfortable coordinating with different stakeholders; • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel; • Able to work independently and as part of a team; and • Interest in urban development, public policy and/or learning and development would be an advantage. Students with an interest or background in public policy, urban planning, geography, sustainability, social sciences, international relations, communications or related disciplines are preferred. Experience in organising events or programmes would be useful. The intern should be comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and supporting programme activities on-site. Availability to support key programme dates in Oct and Nov 2026 would be preferred.
