Step 2 · The role

You will leverage digital capabilities and opportunities as part of a future-ready team. Responsibilities • Work with stakeholders across IRAS and the Government to review new policies or changes to existing WOG/IRAS policies, and coordinate updates across IRAS. • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and manage data requests, supporting data sharing for better policy decisions and more responsive public services. • Develop, review, and implement IRAS’ data strategy and related policies on data management, classification, protection, and security, to promote responsible and effective use of data for improved policies and service delivery. • Engage stakeholders to improve data processes across the data lifecycle, ensuring data flows safely and efficiently. • Oversee the sharing and use of data within the Government to maximise its value in a secure and controlled manner. • Represent IRAS in discussions with WOG and other parties on IRAS’ data governance practices. • Build and strengthen IRAS staff capabilities in data management. Requirements • A degree in any discipline, preferably with a background in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field with an emphasis on data analytics and governance. • 3–5 years of working experience in conceptualising and/or implementing policies, with familiarity with Singapore Government data policies and frameworks. • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and manage relationships across multiple and diverse stakeholder groups. • Data extraction and manipulation skills, with proficiency in Python and SAS • Resourceful, self-driven, and motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Being competent in the following areas is advantageous: • Strong data analytics skills with a working knowledge of statistics and econometrics, enabling you to derive meaningful insights and support evidence-based decision-making. • Hands-on experience in building process automation workflows and business visualisation dashboards, with the ability to drive efficiency through technology We regret to inform that only short-listed candidates will be notified.
