Singapore is internationally renowned for our transport infrastructure and for being a global aviation and maritime hub. At the Ministry of Transport (MOT), we spearhead developments in our air, land and sea transport sectors to advance Singapore’s economic competitiveness and Singaporeans’ quality of life. We seek dynamic, analytical and committed individuals to join our able MOT team in realising our vision of a global interconnected transport hub. If you share our vision and possess the qualities we seek, do join us! Responsibilities As global supply chains become more complex and geopolitically significant, Singapore’s role as a trusted logistics and connectivity hub is critical to our economic competitiveness, resilience and continued relevance to global trade. You will be part of the newly formed Connectivity & Logistics Division (CLD), which drives Whole-of-Government strategies to strengthen Singapore’s logistics ecosystem and advance national connectivity objectives. Your responsibilities may include: • Developing Singapore’s long-term connectivity and logistics strategies, including initiatives on regional connectivity, multimodal transport and the facilitation of cargo flows. • Shaping efforts to strengthen Singapore’s logistics ecosystem through data sharing, common standards, interoperable systems and AI-enabled solutions. • Conducting policy and quantitative analysis on cargo demand, trade and logistics trends, land and infrastructure needs, and emerging industry developments. • Coordinating with ministries and agencies to align policies, implementation plans and Whole-of-Government efforts on cross-cutting connectivity and logistics issues. • Engaging industry stakeholders, including logistics providers and port and airport operators, to understand operational challenges, identify growth opportunities and co-develop solutions. • Driving assigned workstreams from problem definition and policy development through to stakeholder alignment, implementation planning and progress tracking. • Preparing policy papers, presentations, briefing materials and recommendations for senior management, inter-agency committees and industry engagements. Requirements We are looking for officers with a strong interest in public policy and Singapore’s role as a global connectivity and logistics hub. Candidates should demonstrate: • Strong analytical, writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into clear recommendations. • Ability to work and collaborate with stakeholders across the public and private sectors. • Ability to structure and drive work independently in new or evolving areas. • A proactive, resourceful and adaptable mindset. • A positive work ethic and strong team orientation. We welcome candidates from all disciplines and professional backgrounds. Relevant experience in areas such as public policy, economics, business, logistics, supply chain management, transport planning or data analysis would be advantageous, but is not essential.
