[LTA-P&P] SENIOR/TRANSPORT SCIENTIST/PLANNER, STRATEGIC PLANNING Responsibilities The Strategic Planning (SPL) works externally and internally to ensure that Singapore's transport system and future infrastructure can support the long-term needs and aspirations of our nation, taking into account ongoing trends and future developments. We seek a dynamic, curious individual who enjoys working across disciplines — someone who can analyse complex problems, communicate ideas clearly, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to shape the future of Singapore's transport landscape. You will contribute to studies and assessments that inform long-term planning decisions, and have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology (e.g. AI) and develop innovative planning tools and approaches. You will work closely with teams across LTA and other Government agencies. Requirements The Must-Haves We are looking for a well-rounded individual who is analytical, adaptable, and eager to make a meaningful contribution to transport planning. Prior experience in the transport domain is not required. • You hold a tertiary qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Social Sciences, or other related disciplines. • You are comfortable working with data and have some experience in analytical or quantitative work. • You communicate well — able to translate complex findings into clear insights for different audiences. • You are a collaborative team player who can work effectively across teams and agencies. • You are intellectually curious and willing to pick up new skills and domain knowledge on the job. • Fresh graduates with strong academic results and a genuine interest in public policy, planning, or analytics are welcome to apply. The Nice-to-Haves • Hands-on experience with data analysis tools or programming (e.g. Python, SQL) or mathematical/software modelling. • Familiarity with land use planning, transport planning, or related policy areas. • Experience working with large datasets or across multiple stakeholder groups. • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud As part of the shortlisting process for the role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and / or undergo further assessment
