Step 2 · The role

Administration SupportLegal & Parliamentarycontractmid

As a member of the Legal Operations Group of Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC), you will play an important role in supporting the work of the Legal Service Officers (LSOs). Responsibilities Responsibilities: - Assist prosecutors and state counsels in legal operation matters such as case management support. - Update key systems to manage case listing/ records, ensuring effective and accurate data records are captured for retrieval. - Provide nearby IT support for LSOs to resolve issues with proprietary software and case management systems. - Draft simple letters/documents. - Manage the administration of requests for legal advice from stakeholder agencies, including monitoring of timelines and circulations. - Manage and maintain legal files. - Update the scheduling of court hearings and legal meetings into the appropriate systems, assist in booking of rooms, security clearance of visitors where necessary. - Advise LSOs on procedures including internal circulars and directions, court forms, practice directions, rules of court etc. - Undertake legal case management of litigation files, which includes but not limited to the following: a) Evidence and Document Management b) Pre-litigation Discovery c) Preparation of written pleadings/submission d) Prepare exhibits and Bundles - Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Requirements Requirements: - Self-starter, able to work independently & take initiative. - Able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment. - Flexible, keen to learn, open to new ideas and adapt to changes. - Good interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to get along well with others and work well in a team. - Good command of the English Language and possess good writing skills. - Proficient in MS Office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-point and Outlook. Comfortable with IT systems.
