Step 2 · The role
The successful applicant will join the Event Management (EM) team and contribute to the planning and delivery of ASEAN meetings in 2027, as well as other MAS-hosted meetings, conferences, official visits and high-level engagements. Responsibilities This role covers the end-to-end planning, coordination and execution of regional and international meetings, with a primary focus on logistical, administrative and operational support. Responsibilities include coordinating meeting schedules and requirements, liaising with internal stakeholders and external partners, managing venue and on-site arrangements, supporting procurement and vendor coordination, facilitating claims processing and payments, preparing administrative submissions and documentation, and ensuring the smooth delivery of meeting-related services. The role also requires sound knowledge of procurement processes and the ability to manage procurement activities, including preparing specifications, evaluating quotations, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with organisational procedures. The selected candidate may also be required to support cross-agency committees and working groups, and to work closely with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure that meetings and events are delivered professionally, efficiently and in accordance with organisational requirements. Requirements • Preferably with at least 5 years of relevant experience in event management. • Strong interest in event management, with a well-organised, meticulous and resourceful approach. • Knowledge of procurement processes and the ability to support sourcing, vendor coordination, quotation evaluation and contract administration. • Self-motivated and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. • Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. • Willing to work beyond regular office hours and on weekends, where required. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
