The job of a lecturer is immensely meaningful and significant. You will impart knowledge and skills, prepare young and adult learners for the working world, and nurture their development. The role also offers opportunities to develop contemporary curricula, conduct impactful lessons, participate in consultancy and applied research, and collaborate with industry partners. Responsibilities Core Responsibilities • Deliver lessons, develop teaching and assessment materials, and facilitate learning for Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) students. • Enhance existing and/or develop new curricula and learning materials to strengthen students’ application and employability. • Contribute to PET and CET modules and programmes, using appropriate GenAI and EdTech tools where applicable. • Participate in the development of teaching and learning capabilities within RP and the School’s academic team. • Support the School’s strategic initiatives through academic advancement, student development and industry projects. • Undertake academic administration, including setting assessments, grading submissions and coordinating academic reports. • Provide pastoral support and guide students through internships, final-year projects, competitions, career development and overseas learning activities. Areas of Specialisation Candidates are expected to contribute in at least one of the following specialisations: 1. Digital Solutions and Business Technology • Design and deliver modules in Digital Business, AI, Automation, Data Visualisation, Business Technologies and Project Deployment. • Guide students in analysing business needs and designing practical technology-enabled solutions. • Conduct hands-on learning using AI tools, workflow automation, CRM, analytics, e-commerce and low-code/no-code platforms. • Support digital and AI consultancy projects from requirements gathering and solution design to testing and deployment. • Teach students to explore new and emerging technologies, troubleshoot basic technical issues and improve their solutions. 2. Banking and Finance • Design and deliver modules in Financial Technology, Analytics and areas such as Financial Markets, Corporate Finance, Investment Analysis, Trade Finance, Compliance, Risk Management and Sustainable Finance. • Integrate real-world case studies, simulations and industry-relevant tools such as Excel, data analytics and AI applications into learning. • Collaborate with banks, fintech firms, regulators and professional bodies to co-develop curricula, projects and experiential learning opportunities. • Participate in consultancy, applied research and capability-building initiatives related to banking, finance and sustainability. Requirements General Requirements • Relevant academic qualifications in Business, Banking, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Marketing, Business Technology or a related field. • A nurturing mindset and the ability to establish a strong rapport with learners. • Strong industry connections that can bring real-world context and opportunities into the learning experience. • Ability to integrate relevant technology and current industry developments into teaching and learning. • A collaborative, self-driven and resourceful team player who can manage multiple projects independently. • Strong communication, facilitation, project and stakeholder management skills. 1. Digital Solutions and Business Technology • At least three years of relevant experience in digital transformation, technology implementation, business analysis, product or project management, automation, CRM, e-commerce, marketing technology or data analytics. Teaching or training experience is an advantage. • Experience in managing or deploying digital, automation, technology or AI-enabled projects. • Ability to analyse business problems, identify root causes and translate needs into practical solution requirements. • Comfortable exploring new technologies and troubleshooting workflows, configurations, data, integrations and outputs. • Experience in developing and testing prototypes, proof-of-concept solutions, digital workflows or process improvements. • Able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical learners and stakeholders. 2. Banking and Finance • At least three years of relevant experience in banking, financial services, fintech or a related sector. Teaching or training experience is an advantage. • Strong expertise in one or more areas: banking operations; risk, compliance and AML/KYC; financial markets, treasury or investment products; fintech, digital banking or data analytics; sustainable finance or ESG. • Good understanding of trends shaping the financial sector, including digitalisation, AI, regulation and sustainability. • Experience with financial institutions, fintech firms, regulators or professional bodies is advantageous. • Relevant certifications such as CFA, FRM, IBF or sustainability-related credentials are a bonus.
