As an Adjunct Lecturer, you will bring current industry knowledge into the classroom and help young and adult learners develop practical, workplace-relevant skills. Depending on the modules assigned, you will deliver lessons, facilitate applied learning and assess students in one of the specialisations below. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities • Deliver scheduled lessons and facilitate learning for Pre-Employment Training (PET) and/or Continuing Education and Training (CET) students. • Prepare for classes using the approved curriculum and learning resources, and adapt delivery to support learners with different needs. • Facilitate hands-on activities, case discussions and problem-based learning using relevant industry examples and tools. • Assess students' work, provide timely feedback and complete grading and related academic administration within stipulated timelines. • Provide consultation and learning support to students for the assigned module. • Contribute industry insights to the review of lesson materials, assessments or applied projects where required. • Comply with RP's academic, assessment and administrative requirements. Areas of Specialisation Candidates should be able to teach in at least one of the following areas: 1. Digital Solutions and Business Technology • Digital Business, AI, Automation, Data Visualisation, Business Technologies and Project Deployment. • Application of AI tools, workflow automation, CRM, analytics, e-commerce and low-code/no-code platforms to business problems. • Business needs analysis, solution design, prototyping, testing and basic technical troubleshooting. 2. Banking and Finance • Financial Technology, Analytics, Financial Markets, Corporate Finance, Investment Analysis, Trade Finance, Compliance, Risk Management and Sustainable Finance. • Application of real-world case studies, simulations and tools such as Excel, data analytics and AI applications. Requirements General Requirements • Relevant academic qualifications in Business, Banking, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Business Technology or a related field. • At least three years of relevant industry experience. Prior teaching, training or facilitation experience is advantageous. • Current industry knowledge and the ability to translate professional experience into practical learning. • A nurturing mindset and the ability to establish a strong rapport with learners. • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly. • Reliable, organised and able to meet teaching, assessment and administrative timelines. • Comfortable using relevant digital and educational technologies for lesson delivery. 1. Digital Solutions and Business Technology • Relevant experience in digital transformation, technology implementation, business analysis, product or project management, automation, CRM, e-commerce, marketing technology or data analytics. • Hands-on experience in deploying digital, automation or AI-enabled solutions, including workflows, prototypes or proof-of-concept solutions. • Able to analyse business problems, explain solution logic and troubleshoot basic issues involving workflows, configurations, data, integrations and outputs. • Shortlisted candidates may be asked to showcase a prior AI workflow or solution and present a short demonstration and teaching deck for a proposed one-hour lesson, including their lesson-design thought process. 2. Banking and Finance • Strong expertise in one or more areas: banking operations; risk, compliance and AML/KYC; financial markets, treasury or investment products; fintech, digital banking or data analytics; sustainable finance or ESG. • Good understanding of trends shaping the financial sector, including digitalisation, AI, regulation and sustainability. • Relevant professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, IBF or sustainability-related credentials are advantageous.
