Step 2 · The role

StatisticsData Analysis & Data Mgtcontract

The position is located in the Manpower Research and Statistics Department (MRSD), Singapore. The department produces a wide range of national labour market statistics to facilitate informed decision-making within the government and the community-at-large. The main responsibility for this role is to help develop a content strategy that increases MRSD's visibility by ensuring relevant data and data products reach the right audiences and that stakeholder feedback is actively addressed over time. Active engagement of both internal and external stakeholders to build positive sentiment is crucial. Moreover, this role is also expected to assist with steering MRSD’s organisational development and corporate services, to ensure that MRSD remains agile, effective, and conducive. Responsibilities • Formulate a content strategy and implement engagement initiatives that will further the department's organisational goals. • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to increase visibility of MRSD's data products and initiatives • Manage responses to queries from both internal and external stakeholders. (Constructing responses to public feedback, liaising with other departments in cross-department or WOG collaborations.) • Craft proposals and presentations to launch new department projects and initiatives, as well as to highlight the merits of current programmes to ensure persistent funding. Negotiate with multiple stakeholders to secure optimal funding outcomes for the department. • Devise solutions to streamline and enhance corporate functions (corporate transformation, future strategy, staff organisation, project calendars, employee engagement etc.) • Provide regular updates of project progress to senior management. Requirements • Tertiary qualifications with a preferred field of study in Communications, English, Business, or other relevant fields • Experience in project management and stakeholder management will be preferred • Ability to work with diverse groups of people • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Excellent writing skills • Analytical and proactive in finding solutions to problems • Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines
