The National Arts Council seeks Project Managers to join its Visual Arts Department to oversee project management for SAW's exhibitions and programmes. This role sits within the "Programming and Partnerships" division under SAW and involves managing projects, partnerships, and commissions related to the festival. Responsibilities Project Management: • Oversee financial management and accountability for SAW's supported projects, partnerships, and commissions • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and budget disbursements to ensure successful delivery of SAW 2026 initiatives • Monitor project progress and implement solutions to keep all deliverables on schedule Stakeholder Relations: • Build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders through effective communication and proactive problem-solving • Coordinate with event management vendors, government agencies, and partners to secure necessary licences and approvals • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to support promotional activities Operations Management: • Oversee project setup and teardown logistics in coordination with vendors and stakeholders • Manage contract negotiations, procurement processes, and vendor relationships • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and operational standards Requirements • Strong knowledge of the visual arts sector with at least 5 years of experience in arts festivals and large-scale platforms and related events. • Proven stakeholder coordination abilities across diverse industries with excellent communication skills • Demonstrated project management, problem-solving, and organisational capabilities • Ability to work independently on multiple concurrent projects whilst adapting quickly in dynamic environments • Experience with administrative processes, procurement, and financial management • Detail-oriented, collaborative team player who works effectively under pressure Prior government or public sector experience highly desirable
