You will be part of the Rehabilitation and Protection Group (RPG) that undertakes the statutory functions in the rehabilitation of adult and youth offenders, and the protection of children, families and vulnerable adults (VAs). As part of RPG, the Prevention and Operations Policy Division (POP) is responsible for the overall prevention strategy planning, corporate strategic planning, operations policy and technology transformation for the RPG. Responsibilities You will be part of the Operations Policy and Planning team in POP to develop and implement operations policies and service models to improve services for vulnerable individuals and families. You will: • Develop and review operations policies and service models relating to the rehabilitation of offenders, protection of children and families from domestic violence, and/or gambling safeguards; • Implement new operations policies, service models, or legislative amendments in collaboration with RPG operational divisions; • Collaborate with policy directorate to ensure alignment between policy intent and operations policies; • Work closely with RPG operational divisions and stakeholders to identify gaps and propose solutions; • Optimise limited resources to better protect the vulnerable and rehabilitate youth offenders. Requirements The ideal candidate should be able to: • Analyse gaps, emerging needs, cross-cutting issues, trade-offs and adopt mindset shifts to propose solutions; • Drive and project manage initiatives to ensure timely implementation; • Develop and review funding and service models with clear strategies to achieve service goals; • Clearly and concisely articulate strategies and proposals; • Work well together other RPG and MSF divisions; • Bridge and facilitate communication between policy and operations teams. The candidate should be/have: • Strong analytical, writing and communication skills; • Self-driven, resourceful, adaptable team player in a fast-paced environment; • Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills; • Comfortable with navigating ambiguity and eager to learn; • Familiarity with operations planning, policy, RPG operational work or funding/service model development will be an advantage
