Modernising Services Producer Price Indices Through Administrative and Existing Data Sources The Department of Statistics (DOS) is expanding its suite of Services Producer Price Indices (SPPIs) to cover a broader range of industries, providing richer insights into price movements across Singapore's economy. As part of this initiative, we are modernising our data processes by leveraging administrative and existing data sources in place of traditional survey-based methods — making our compilation more efficient and timely. Responsibilities As an intern, you will play a hands-on role in this development work, contributing across the full pipeline from data collection through to data compilation. This includes sourcing and evaluating administrative datasets, processing and cleaning data using Python and Excel, and supporting the methodological work needed to construct robust price indices. Requirements - Knowledge in Python and MS Excel\ - Knowledge or experience in data science, statistics, mathematics, data analytics, or related quantitative areas. Internship Period: 6 months, from Jan to Jun 2027 (flexible start and end dates) Part-time option available: Minimum commitment of 3 days per week
