Step 2 · The role
Lecturer (Pharmaceutical Science) Responsibilities The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for teaching subjects related to pharmacology, pharmacy practice, pharmacy management and operations, as well as pharmaceutical analysis, compounding, and good manufacturing practice. The candidate is also expected to develop and deliver continuing education and training (CET) programs to the industry in areas such as pharmacy practice, sterile/non-sterile compounding and pharmaceutical regulatory affairs. The candidate will also be involved in public health advocacy and interprofessional collaboration. The candidate should also have a strong industry network, student-centric, proficient in leveraging AI/digital tools to enhance teaching and learning, entrepreneurial in thinking, and competent in research and innovation. Responsibilities include: • Conduct lectures, tutorials and practicum in face-to-face settings or via online platforms. • Develop teaching and training materials using latest educational technologies. • Conduct competency training for students in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Health (MOH) Pharmacy Technicians Entry-to-practice competency standards. • Support curriculum development to ensure alignment of curriculum to industry competencies. • Leverage his/her industry network to create internship opportunities, secure sponsorships for awards, scholarships etc for students. • Leverage AI/digital tools to enhance teaching and learning. • Conduct research, innovation and interdisciplinary projects through entrepreneurial thinking, fostering industry partnerships and creating solutions for healthcare. • Supervise and mentor students in industry/ research projects in areas such as pharmacy quality improvement, pharmacy training, pharmacy digitalization and automation, virtual clinical pharmacy, community care, formulation development etc. • Mentor students in character development and career readiness. • Provide pastoral care for students. Requirements • Qualification in Pharmacy recognized by the Singapore Pharmacy Council. • At least three to five years of working experience in pharmacy settings or pharmaceutical industries. • Candidates with knowledge and experience in AI tools, data analytics and digital health will be preferred. • Experience in virtual clinical pharmacy and community care. • Passionate in teaching and mentoring students. • Keen to be involved in applied research/industry projects and healthcare digitalization projects/ initiatives. • Resourceful and able to work independently as well as in diverse team settings.
