Policy FormulationPolicy & Planningcontractdirector

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to Singapore's greenery enhancement and conservation policies as we transform the nation into a City in Nature. Responsibilities You will work with the National Parks Board (NParks) to refresh the longer-term strategic direction for the Landscape and Orchid sectors. This includes reviewing land and procurement policies for nursery farms to encourage better land utilisation, reviewing technology adoption funding scheme to uplift productivity, and reviewing the manpower development plan to nurture talent and ensure sufficient workforce capacity. You will also work with Gardens by the Bay (GB), a premier urban outdoor recreation space and top tourist attraction, to co-develop infrastructure plans beyond the Bay East Garden and Wetland by the Bay. To achieve these outcomes, you will drive and coordinate policy and operations matters and co-develop proposals with NParks and GB. You will work with both organisations to monitor and safeguard their operational and financial standing. You will also staff and coordinate meetings on these issues involving MND senior management and other relevant stakeholders. Requirements • Able to assess and develop policy solutions that account for agency objectives and larger system implications and trade-offs for other policies within organisation, and identify larger system policies/ developments that will affect policy domain • Able to sense-make root causes / drivers and identify key trade-offs, considerations, and options for simple policy issues • Able to write in a clear, concise, and organised manner for all types of policy documents, and tailor writing for different target audience and platforms • A team player who is able to work well with our stakeholders. • A sense of initiative and dynamism
