School of Engineering - Lecturer (Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Technology & Manufacturing) Responsibilities • Deliver and develop lessons in electrical engineering, electronics, microelectronics and semiconductor technology. • Teach topics such as circuit analysis, analogue and digital electronics, semiconductor devices, IC fundamentals, instrumentation and engineering applications. • Deliver semiconductor modules covering wafer fabrication, process integration, semiconductor manufacturing, testing, packaging, reliability and yield engineering. • Develop curriculum, laboratories and projects involving AI-enabled semiconductor manufacturing, smart factories, semiconductor data analytics, intelligent process control, computer vision and Industry 4.0 technologies. • Develop and conduct CET programmes, including Specialist Diploma and Part-time Diploma courses. • Supervise student projects, internships and applied learning activities. • Collaborate with industry and university partners on curriculum development, applied projects and industry engagement. • Support outreach activities, student development and administrative duties. Requirements • Strong fundamentals in electronics, electrical engineering, semiconductor devices and microelectronics. • Knowledge or exposure in one or more areas: • Semiconductor manufacturing and wafer fabrication • Equipment, process or product engineering • Testing, reliability or yield engineering • Advanced packaging or semiconductor automation • Interest or experience in AI for semiconductor applications, including: - Yield prediction - Defect detection and classification - Computer vision for wafer inspection - Predictive maintenance - Manufacturing analytics - Digital twins - Smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 - AI-enabled process optimisation • Exposure to emerging technologies such as advanced packaging, chiplets, silicon photonics, AI accelerators, high-bandwidth memory (HBM) or SiC/GaN devices will be advantageous. • Ability to utilise AI tools for engineering, teaching and applied projects. • Passion for teaching, mentoring and engaging youths. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
