Step 2 · The role
The role focuses on helping MOM build a resilient workforce and prepared workplaces equipped to respond effectively to crises, threats, and disruptions. Responsibilities You will be part of the Workforce Security team responsible for helping MOM better respond to different crises and large scale incidents, and develop MOM’s capabilities in coordinating and responding to crises. The role will mainly involve the management of incidents in crises, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to develop clear processes for the coordination of incident and crisis management. Your role will also involve general emergency preparedness and incident management for the department. This will involve engagement with both internal and external stakeholders. In your course of work, you will: • Engage MOM divisions to establish clear processes for coordination of crises • Support MOM’s efforts in managing a crisis or major incident • Support the development of the SGSecure@Workplaces programme to engage stakeholders and staff the SGSecure work in engaging companies. • Support the secretariat of the Singapore Inter-Agency Taskforce on Trafficking in Persons with research, coordination, and implementation of programmes aimed at combatting trafficking-in-persons • Support the department in general emergency preparedness planning and incident management • Assist with ad-hoc duties assigned by your supervisor as part of workforce security team Requirements • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and understand the diverse business areas of MOM • Tertiary qualification (degree holder) • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Good writing, communication and presentation skills • Self-motivated team player with initiative, able to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders • Ability to multi-task and manage issues across different work areas • Resilience under pressure, especially during crises • Basic proficiency in data analytics and visualisation tools (e.g., PowerBI/Tableau and Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
