Not only will he/she have both the knowledge and working experience, he/she must also possess the ability to leverage on different skillsets in mentoring students and adult learners. There will be opportunities to develop course curriculum, introduce new modules/courses as well as support industry engagement (IE) and projects. Administrative works related to teaching as well as school/centre/institutional strategic initiatives is a critical component of the job. Successful candidates will be expected to be resourceful and innovative with initiative and good communication skills. Responsibilities • Conduct, review and develop teaching and assessment materials for Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) courses. • Provide operational and administrative support to PET and CET courses (including supervising student projects and internship/on-the-job training in PET and CET courses) as well as school’s initiatives and activities. • Build capabilities in sustainability and establish a network of strategic partnerships with government agencies, training providers, industry associations and other relevant stakeholders to support PET, CET and IE. • Develop and sustain the CLS alumni community, driving engagement initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes aligned with organisational priorities in lifelong learning and student success. Requirements • Relevant qualifications in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) or sustainability-related field of studies. • At least 2 years of relevant working experience in Chemistry, Environmental/Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Environmental Sustainability or Biotechnology. • Have experience in engaging internal and external stakeholders to drive initiatives and maintain a good rapport and relationship with these stakeholders and alumni. • Passionate about education and possess strong interest in guiding PET and CET students. • Self-driven, independent, constructive and work well as a team. • People-oriented individual with strong interpersonal, written and communication skills. • Keen interest to develop new capabilities through projects and self-directed learning. • Technologically proficient, with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint and Excel), the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for work (such as Claude, Copilot 365, etc), and social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.
