Step 2 · The role
As Manager/Senior Manager (Strategy Branch), you will drive strategic planning for an effective and future-ready MSF. This includes: a) Engaging senior management, MSF divisions, and other key stakeholders in developing and shaping MSF’s organisational priorities and strategic directions. b) Anticipating trends and emerging issues for MSF and integrating them within strategic planning c) Advocating for MSF/Social Sector outcomes in WOG platforms (e.g. Social Domain Rules Review) Responsibilities You will be required to: • Work closely with other agencies on WOG efforts, in particular, improving regulatory effectiveness among social domain agencies • Lead and coordinate capability development initiatives for regulatory officers as secretariat of Social Domain Rules Review inter-agency workgroup • Provide strategic support and be the primary liaison for committees, workgroups and inter-agency meetings • Manage the strategic corporate workplan process in MSF. This involves shaping MSF’s planning agenda and priorities in close collaboration with policy divisions, to further MSF’s desired outcomes and WOG strategic objectives • Identifying areas for alignment and co-ordination across the ministry, and developing recommendations to improve systems and processes • Overseeing the Ministry’s management and analysis of issues raised in Parliament You will have a unique vantage point to gain an understanding of the breadth of MSF’s work. You will also have the opportunity to regularly engage senior management and MSF divisions to shape organisational priorities, as well as undertake horizon scanning and deep-dives on cross-cutting issues with partner divisions. Requirements • Ability to synthesise complex information from multiple sources • Possesses meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to produce high-quality work • Adaptable and resilient in managing multiple priorities and in engaging senior management • Self-directed with strong initiative and ability to work independently • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills • Has excellent written and verbal communication • Prior experience in strategic planning or policy work will be an advantage Only shortlisted candidates will be notified within 4 weeks from the closing date of this position.
