Plaque of Commendation (Gold) – NTUC May Day Awards 2026 Most Positive Workplace Collaboration Award – Singapore International Chamber of Commerce (SICC) Awards 2025 The Straits Times Singapore’s Best Employers for 2024, 2025 & 2026 Singapore Polytechnic’s Media, Arts & Design School (MAD) is seeking a Lecturer in Creative Technology and Interactive Media in the Animation & Games team. In this role, you will nurture the next generation of creative technologists, game designers and interactive media practitioners through teaching, curriculum development, student mentorship, industry collaboration and applied projects. You will also contribute to innovative cross-disciplinary initiatives involving game design, AR/VR/XR, projection mapping, physical computing, creative coding, real-time interactive systems and emerging experience technologies. Responsibilities Responsibilities • Conduct lessons and develop curriculum, learning resources and assessments in creative technology, game design and development, interactive media technologies, gameplay programming, game engines, content creation, game mechanics and level design. • Mentor and supervise students through industry-relevant projects, capstone activities, competitions and multidisciplinary collaborations involving games, immersive media, digital products and emerging technologies. • Lead or support industry collaborations, consultancy projects and applied research initiatives in interactive media, creative technology, immersive experiences, games and digital innovation. • Keep curriculum and learning experiences current by maintaining expertise in emerging technologies such as AR/VR/XR, physical computing, creative coding, projection mapping, AI-enabled experiences, sensor technologies, microcontrollers and real-time interactive systems. • Support course management, academic administration, student development initiatives and school-wide strategic projects. • Contribute to outreach, training and Continuing Education & Training programmes for schools, industry partners and adult learners. Requirements Requirements • Relevant industry experience in creative technology, interactive media development, immersive experiences, game design, game development, digital product innovation or related fields. • A strong passion for education, student development, and mentoring. • Strong programming and software development capabilities, with proficiency in technologies such as Python, C++, C#, Unity and/or Unreal Engine. • Ability to integrate software and hardware systems for interactive applications, installations or experiential media solutions. • Strong understanding of user-centred design, experience design, interactive storytelling, game design methodologies, gameplay systems and real-time technologies. • Demonstrated ability to work with multidisciplinary teams involving designers, developers, artists and external stakeholders. • Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation and project management skills.
