Step 2 · The role

You will provide holistic social work support to ITE students-at-risk and will be part of the professional team, working with students and their families, community partners and relevant stakeholders within ITE with objectives such as enabling students to complete their studies, facilitating family work with relevant agencies and accessing resources (eg financial). Responsibilities Some of the tasks which you are expected to perform include: • Engaging and connecting with students and their challenges • Providing case assessment and goals/outcome of the work with students and their families. • Visiting students’ homes or other relevant locations for assessment/support. • Referring students and families to relevant stakeholders within and outside ITE to render necessary support. • Collaborating with relevant stakeholders (e.g. departments within ITE, government and community agencies) to provide holistic care and support to students. • Documenting, tracking, monitoring and reporting (including collation of relevant data) of students’ cases. • Re-integrating or transition support for students. • Implementing psycho-social-educational programmes Requirements • Candidates with credentials in a relevant discipline (e.g. social work) will have an advantage. • Preferably with at least 2 years of direct clinical work / casework experience in the social service sector, working with youth and their families. • Good knowledge of social services landscape in Singapore. • Passion and disposition for working with youth and their families • Cultural sensitivity, collaborative and an openness to diverse views. • Emotional stability, resourcefulness and resilience. • Proficient in office applications/software Note : Contract till 30 Jun 2027.
